Files created with ODS TAGSETS.EXCELXP might not open automatically in Microsoft Excel as they are generated.
In an interactive SAS session, if the setting Tools ► Options ► Preferences ► Results ► View results as they are generated is enabled, files created with the EXCELXP tagset should automatically open in Microsoft Excel once the file is created. This is contingent upon Excel being installed on the local machine running SAS.
To circumvent the problem, click on the Excel icon in the Results window, which will launch Microsoft Excel.
